We’re getting a lot of Assassin’s Creed lately. We’ve got the upcoming sequel Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood which introduces multiplayer to the series. We’ve got two comic book series, Assassin’s Creed: The Fall and Assassin’s Creed: Aquilus. Heck, we’ve even got a Facebook game, Assassin’s Creed: Project Legacy. Now we’re getting a short movie as well. Assassin’s Creed: Ascendance will launch with the game on November 16th.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Ascendance will bridge the gap between Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. It will follow series protagonist Ezio Auditore on his quest to remove the Borgia family from their papal throne, as well as his discovery of the history of Ceasare Borgia and his rise to power. It will be live on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live, as well as on other digital download platforms, for $1.99.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood launches on November 16th in North America and November 18th in Europe, the Middle East and Asia for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version available in early 2011. Check out the trailer for Ascendance below.
