EverQuest II Extended, the free-to-play version of the popular MMO from Sony Online Entertainment, is officially out of beta. To help celebrate, we are doing a giveaway!
Thanks to the kind folks over at SOE, we will be giving our readers the chance to win free 30-Day Gold Memberships to EQ2X.
What comes with a Gold Membership to EQ2X? Well, if you’ve played the PC version of EverQuest II, then you’re already familiar with what is offered in their subscription plans. The Gold Membership, that originally retails for $14.99 USD, gives gamers full access to the base game, five expansion packs, and three adventure packs. Players also have access to four character races, all 24 character classes, the ability to level up their character to 80, 7 character slots (compared to the standard 3 with Bronze & Silver subscriptions), full access to spell tiers, equipment grades, to some of the most powerful items in the game such as the Legendary & Fabled ones, and so much more.
Interested in winning a code to the free to play version of one of the best selling games of all time? It’s easy! All you have to do is submit a comment below telling us one of the best EverQuest or EverQuest II experiences you’ve had. They can be funny stories, awesome stories of epic wins, or even times like where you accidentally spilled a soda across your keyboard so the hotkey to your fire spell wouldn’t work and your party died. Staff members of World of Meh are ineligible to enter (you guys get enough stuff already!), however are more than welcome to comment and join in the discussion.
Five comments will be chosen at random on Friday, October 8th, 2010 at 1:oo PM PST. Winners will be contacted via email, so please leave your email address at the end of your comment.
Good luck, and we can’t wait to hear your stories!

Great! Looks like fun, can’t wait to review it!
at least with the code, you can build a character with some of the unlocked classes, and take advantage of the extra content for a month and go back to free till you need those options again
Yeah. You figure, even if you aren’t sure about the game, you might as well give it a shot to try and win one of the codes and get a true feel for it. Odds are the people will enjoy it, but you never know.
The best time I have had is the grinding down in the underworld where you can get the i think the fabled cape and such, constant hours of grinding and gameplay make this one of the best games i have ever come across its just hours and hours of fun!1 =)
I am finding this game to be a tad bit slow going, but then again I am only LVL 5 at the moment….
My biggest issue is that I have NO IDEA what I am doing LOL
I am supposed to seal some gateway or something, and I go and kill the person summoning creatures from the gateway, and she keeps respawning and I can’t figure it out.
