Uwe Boll Is Making An Auschwitz Movie

Oh good. This conveniently puts two German atrocities in one place.

Yes, the esteemed Dr. Uwe Boll is making a movie about Auschwitz. The guy that made the House of the Dead movie that used actual scenes from the games to further the “narrative.” The guy who shot the most awkward sex scene ever in Alone in the Dark and then somehow managed to trump it with BloodRayne. The man that made a Lord of the Rings knock off in Dungeon Siege and had Jason Statham as the main character, an medieval English farmer whose name is, God help me, Farmer. That is the level of subtlety we’re talking about here. He named the farmer Farmer. And this man, this crazy German man is making a movie about one of the most horrific places in the world. All the people in the audience who think this man can handle such a film with the respect and dignity it deserves, raise your hands. Okay, your hands raised? Now smack yourselves with them. You are wrong.

Boll himself has commented on the film, saying:

“It’s in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, Tunnelrats, Heart of America…it shows Auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans…a death factory”

Its when he says the words, “It’s in the tradition of my movies…” that I lose all faith in the project. That’s the problem Uwe. I’ve seen your other movies. Just…no.

There is a trailer I could put in this article. I’m not going to as it is quite graphic in nature. Just go to Youtube and type in Uwe Boll and Auschwitz. But remember, it doesn’t shrink back from the gory details at all. You have been warned.

This is a really bad idea. Like a really, really, really bad idea. First off, I know I sure as hell don’t want to see anything about Auschwitz, and my last name is German! I’m not saying that the incidents of the Holocaust should be forgotten, because we would be fools to let something like that repeat again, but I just don’t think it will be handled in a tasteful way I’m betting that this movie pisses off a lot families who lost relatives or friends during the whole atrocity.

Side note: Uwe Boll should never be allowed to make a movie ever again. Just saying.
