There are three different formats for Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, film, book, and video game. It’s the newest media triple hit but this time Warner Bros wants to give you a taste a little early.
Think of it as a medieval story with a new twist. The story is that a young owl named Soren escapes from the evil Pure Ones and finds help at the Great Ga’Hoole tree. He tells the other owls about the Pure Ones plan that threatens their entire kingdom. The game, of course, puts you into the role of your favorite owl as you travel around the kingdom fighting evil.
Now, the full game for Wii, PS3, Xbox and DS won’t be available until October, however Warner Bros has been gracious enough to release a demo so you can get your hands on the game early and decide if it’s worth handing out your hard earned cash for. The demo comes to the live arcade Monday, September 6th and Playstation Network Wednesday, September 8th.
The demo itself will have you flying and fighting with a new 360 degree flying mechanic. It will allow you to explore the Kingdom of Ga’Hoole while fighting off evil.
If the game doesn’t fit your taste, maybe the movie will. It’s directed by Zach Synder and, like everything else these days, will be in 3D and will be released on September 24th.
