A World of Keflings Gets Release Date & Price!

Yeeessss! You’ll have to forgive me while I do my happy dance over here, but I’m so excited for this news, it’s unreal. Today NinjaBee Games dropped some massive knowledge bombs: a release date for A World of Keflings, the price (which, in my opinion is very reasonable), and how the title will tie in with two other games that are being offered during Microsoft’s “Games for the Holidays” promotion.

So, I have to get this out of the way first… A World of Keflings will be coming to us in 2010. To be more specific, the game will be available for download on December 22nd, just in time for you guys and gals to come up with ways to say you’re sick and can’t come in to work. It’s also great because if you celebrate Christmas and will be having some annoying family members coming over (we have them all, don’t be ashamed), this is the perfect escape!

Now, as for the price: a low (and again very reasonable) 800 Microsoft Points. I know, right?! There are other games available on XBLA right now that ask for 1,200 points, and frankly aren’t worth it, but I won’t name any specific game as they know who they are. So yes, only 800 points and Keflings goodness can be yours. If you haven’t said what you wanted for Christmas yet, now is the time to request a nice Microsoft Points Card, and you might as well ask for the one worth 4,000 points. Why? I’ll tell you right now.

Remember how I mentioned that A World of Keflings will tie in with the other two “Games for the Holidays” titles? If you purchase the other two games, Raskulls and ilomilo, you’ll be able to build special houses for the characters featured in the games. I know the way I’m describing it doesn’t sound as awesome as the press release, so here’s a little snippet with all the details:

“The cross-title features are really cool,” said Steve Taylor, Keflings creator and President of NinjaBee. “If you buy Raskulls or ilomilo you can build homes for characters from those games in A World of Keflings. Then those characters live in your game world and you can kick them around with the rest of your Keflings. At the same time, if you own A World of Keflingsyou can choose to have a Kefling as your playable character in Raskullsor dress up ilo and milo in swanky Kefling costumes.”

Well, there you all have it. We will be getting our Keflings in 2010, we will be able to get it at an affordable price, and how kick-ass are those bonus features for those who purchase Raskulls or ilomilo? If you’re getting A World of Keflings on the 22nd, leave a comment below and tell us what you’re looking forward to the most!

I am looking forward to all the new things this game has. I have logged so many hours on A Kingdom for Keflings and since I heard this game was coming out, I have been waiting IMPATIENTLY…. I will probably play this game for 24 hours straight when I first get it!

Yeah. Chris and I are really looking forward to the local co-op. There are unfortunately not a lot of games that focus on, or even acknowledge the fact that, not everybody has Xbox Live, or has a lot of friends to play with that share the same game, or even wants to join up with a bunch of random strangers in a game. Maybe people share a console, like the two of us do, so… local co-op is a huge plus for us. The game also looks like it will be significantly larger, which only adds to the replay value in my opinion. This game will seriously rock my socks.

pointing out me & Charlie still read, and wondering if we are ever gonna get to hang out again… =P

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
