DC Universe Online – Press Event

Last Monday, November 1, I found myself in a place I had not been for close to five years; an airport. I was on my way to Texas (there’s a bad country song in there, somewhere), where I was invited by Sony Online Entertainment to attend a semi-exclusive press event and game preview for their upcoming game, DC Universe Online. I had a chance to interview Sony Online Entertainment’s Vice President of Development, John Blakely. I got a good play session on the most current (at the time) versions of the game for both PS3 and PC. I sat through demonstrations of character creation, an in-game tour of Metropolis and Gotham, and a lesson in the game’s comic-book physics. Make sure to check back every day this week for an article detailing each of the amazing things I saw and did while down in Texas last week!

Monday - Character Creation

Tuesday - Interview with John Blakely

Wednesday - World Tour

Thursday - Game Physics

Friday - Hands-on Impressions & Final Thoughts

Disclosure: I attended a DC Universe Online event hosted by Sony Online Entertainment. Sony Online Entertainment paid for my flight, hotel and meals in connection with the event.

Might I just say how extraordinarily jealous I am of you that you got to go to this event? Why yes, I think I just may.

Sir, I am extraordinarily jealous of you that you got to go to this event. Can’t wait to see what you’ve learned.

    I second Kyle’s statement!

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
