It should be fairly clear that, around here, we love collector’s editions. This should be nothing new to you, unless we are entirely new to you, in which case, allow me to state unequivocally that we do, in fact, love collector’s editions. Now that you’re up to speed, there’s another collector’s edition coming out soon that has caught my eye.
I still haven’t beaten Assassin’s Creed, and I still haven’t touched Assassin’s Creed II. I like what I’ve seen so far for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, however, and love the style and design of the characters, especially the Harlequin and the Doctor. And, as you may have been able to infer so far, I’m a sucker for a good quality collector’s edition.
There are two collector’s edition packages available for PS3, and two for Xbox 360. The Gamestop exclusive collector’s edition includes the jack-in-the-box of the Harlequin, while all other retailers offer the Doctor. Aside from that difference, the collector’s editions are identical, and include the following:
- Two exclusive in-game single player maps (Aqueduct and Trajan Market)
- Hard copy strategy map of Rome
- Exclusive art book
- Bonus disc containing:
- Exclusive Making Of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood video
- Digital sneak peek at the Assassin’s Creed comic
- Trailers
- Game soundtrack
This particular collector’s edition will be available on release day, November 16, for the steep price of $99.99. Sucker though I am, $100 is too much for the meager offerings of this collector’s edition. Although, that is a pretty cool map… Those jack-in-the-boxes look really well done, too…
