With our One Love for Chi Blogathon Fundraiser coming up this Saturday, the prizes are still rolling on in. Our friends at EA have donated an awesome The Sims 3 prize package, and I think you’re all going to like it.Sim games have been around for over 20 years, starting with SimCity. The Sims itself didn’t come to PC’s until 2000, but ever since then, it has been a huge success for both EA and Maxis.
The Sims 3 has been out since June of 2009, but it’s popularity hasn’t waned. With several expansion packs and downloadable items, players are constantly given the tools to create an even bigger universe almost daily. Last week I wrote about the upcoming expansion, Late Night, so it goes to show that new, fun things are coming out all the time.
In The Sims 3 players can customize their characters down to body type, facial features, hair styles, and more using the Create-A-Sim in-game feature. Once completing your Sim, you are in full control of their destiny. You can live out your wildest fantasies and spend your days as an aspiring musician, a model, housewife, world leader, or even a thief. Each Sim does come with his or her own wishes, but you can decide whether or not you are going to fulfill them or do what you want to do.
You are able to customize your house, your clothing, and even create patterns that can be used for different things. The Sims 3 is all about details, so you can even style and color the smallest of things, like the shoes your Sim wears. Players with a creative side can even create and direct their own movies, featuring Sim characters as the actors.
EA kindly donated a rather nice prize package for one lucky winner, and I have to say, I’m pretty jealous. I’ve never played The Sims before, except for a version I played on my iPhone a month or so ago, but my curiosity is certainly piqued.
The Sims 3 Prize Package includes:
