EA Gifts To You A Dead Space 2 Demo Just In Time For Christmas

Because what says peace on Earth and good will towards men better than blood soaked, horribly mutated necromorphs chasing down terrified people in a gigantic space station?

Now things with tentacles make me excited…

Wait, let me start this again.

I like monsters. Big ol’ giant space monsters. Dead Space gave me that in droves. The sequel promises me more space monsters. Bigger space monsters. I like it already. I also got the chance to play the multiplayer beta, and let me tell you, it is the real deal. I didn’t think multiplayer horror could be fun. I was proven wrong. Ever since then I’ve been craving more of this universe and its plethora of space monsters. EA thinks this is a fine idea and, on December 21, is releasing a demo for Dead Space 2 to hype people up before the game launches on January 25 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

“The holidays are a great time to enjoy all forms of entertainment, and we can’t wait to give horror and action adventure gamers a taste of what awaits them in Dead Space 2,”  said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer of the Dead Space franchise. “Releasing the demo five weeks before launch will not only re-connect players with our hero Isaac Clarke, but will also give them the opportunity to experience firsthand  various jaw-dropping scenarios. It’s gonna be awesome.”

The Dead Space 2 demo will be live on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network on December 21 for North America and December 22 in Europe.

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
